‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Would Be ‘Lucky’ To Have Ian Somerhalder

Rumours have been circling of the favourites to star in the movie production of Fifty Shades of Grey, an erotic novel that originally began life as Twilight fan fiction. Fitting then, that our very own vampire has reached the top of many favourite choices lists. Hollywood Life reports the following from Ian’s The Vampire Diaries co-star Kat Graham:

Ian Somerhalder has been mounting a campaign for months now to win himself the part of Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of the book Fifty Shades of Grey, and one of his Vampire Diaries co-stars thinks he’d be perfect for the job.

We spoke to Kat Graham, who plays Bonnie on the show, at the Teen Choice Awards on July 22, and she had nothing but great things to say about the idea of Ian being in the film.

“Put him in it! Listen to the fans! Ian is so great, Ian can do everything… Ian is so incredibly talented that he could literally do anything and I hope that with our show schedule that is so crazy that he could work around that. But I think he is better then everything, they would be lucky to have him!” she raved. Looks like Ian can add another co-worker to the list of those backing him for the role!

Isn’t it lovely to hear his co-stars saying such wonderful things about Ian? How do you feel about Ian starring in this love it or hate it franchise?

A new tease for “The Vampire Diaries” season 4 has arrived and it reveals that Elena (Nina Dobrev) is going to remember a very key moment she had with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Apparently, this key moment is not going to be when Elena first met Damon before her parent’s fatal accident. Instead, it is going to be from the time “when Damon told her he loved her,” in her room. That is, before he swooshed out the window, leaving her there without any memory of what he had just said. “But unlike past flashbacks we’ve seen,” TV Guide‘s Natalie Abrams said, “Elena doesn’t realize right away that she’s watching a memory from the past, rather than experiencing a moment in the present.”

Ian has also been talking about the fourth season of the show, is Damon back to his evil ways for series 4?

Sorry, Delena fans, but don’t expect Damon to keep making moon eyes at Elena. Can you blame the guy? She did choose his brother in the finale.

“She chose Stefan (Paul Wesley), so I’m sure there’s some hot vamp sex there,” Ian jokes. “When she gets tired of Stefan, who knows? Maybe she’ll come to Damon?” (We bet that statement just launched a thousand Tumblr posts.)

“[Damon]‘s not going to be pining. This is the season of no pine…Seasons two and three, he did everything they wanted him to do. He tried to be the person they wanted him to be. Guess what? None of it worked,” Ian says.
